Sigtuna Cricket Club

Since then the club has matured into fully functional, non-profit organization geared towards promoting Cricket in Sweden. We have been and always tried to be the pioneers in introducing cricket in Sweden and by the efforts of our keen members, other teams and Swedish Cricket Federation, cricket is getting popular in Sweden day by day.

There are almost 16 teams in Sweden. And Our Club has been on top 3 for many years and won Swedish National League in 1994. We have also been arranging Six-A-Side Tournament in Sigtuna - Märsta and have won last 2 Tournaments. Sigtuna CC currently has around twenty five active members. From year 2000 we had rebuilt the Club with almost new players from different countries like Sweden, Australia, Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and even from Iraq and the Club welcomes players from all countries. All members are doing their hard work to support the Club and make it better and better which is paying us back in the shape of good results like Sigtuna CC won the Jinnah Trophy year 2006 and were the Runner Up year 2007 and  we were on the Second Position in Swedish National Cricket League year 2007.

Our cricket ground is situated at Norrbacka field behind the Norrbacka School in Sigtuna - Märsta. Our Ground is one of the best in Stockholm and we use to have lots of Swedesh Cricket League's matches even the Final matches with the ceremonies on our present ground. Now we are planning to have a much better ground than the present one, with all the facilities like Pavilion and a special pitch etc and hopefullly it will be ready before summer 2009.
